Key facts
- Traffic-risk concession (heavy vehicles only) with DEGES
- 70 KWp solar capacity to power operations
- 6 advanced salt-spreaders
- 11 rest areas under operation
Strong know-how in winter operations
Winter maintenance is a key operational priority. Our specialised teams and modern equipment ensure safe traffic even in severe weather conditions, using resource-efficient de-icing solutions adapted to the Rhine valley climate. Along our corridor, drivers can also rely on 11 service and rest areas operated by our teams, offering safe places to stop and rest during long journeys.
Solar power in operations
Photovoltaic panels installed at our operations centre produce renewable electricity used to power the building and charge electric vehicles. By generating energy directly on site, we reduce emissions while supplying part of the highway’s operational needs with clean electricity.
Maintaining high standards over time
Since the start of the PPP contract in 2009, Via Solutions Südwest has continuously invested to maintain the highest standards. Major maintenance programmes regularly renew the pavement and infrastructure while keeping traffic flowing. This long-term approach illustrates how the PPP model helps sustain infrastructure performance over time.
