Protecting our road agents is a central priority. We equip our teams with acoustic alert systems that warn them when a vehicle approaches at unsafe speed. We also onboard artificial intelligence in our patrolling cars, to detects loss of vigilance, particularly valuable on long-distance corridors such as those we supervise in Brazil. At the same time, we intensify communication with drivers, to ensure reduced speeds and heightened attention wherever our teams intervene.

Raising awareness
VINCI Highways promotes responsible driving behavior through regular trainings and workshops with partners and users. In several European countries, we relay the findings of the annual barometer published by the Fondation VINCI Autoroutes promoting safer driving practices. To raise awareness on collisions with patrol vehicles, a recurring safety risk, we exhibit our damaged vehicles to confront drivers with the reality of these impacts.
